Washington Mystics will host its first annual Deaf Awareness Night on Tuesday, August 20 at 7:00 PM. Mystics will play the Seattle Storm.

Mystics’ Deaf Awareness Night will feature ASL-centered programming, including interpreters, video closed captioning. Mystics will provide an exclusive t-shirt with a purchase of the special ticket offer.

Gallaudet’s Women Basketball student-athlete Cam Lexow (Abington, Pa.) will represent the Bison at the game. She will join Gallaudet Interpreting Services (GIS) to do the public address at the game.

Bingo Game Night is back again!! On Saturday evening, August 24th !! Grab this last summer weekend before school begins with a Maryland theme!! Wear t-shirts that represents Maryland!! Come and join us for this fun night to play and dine/chat!

We plan to have a deaf night out on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Wine Collective at 6:00 p.m. They will donate $2 of the wine glass purchase to the Baltimore City Association of the Deaf. Please come!

WINE TASTING

BCAD is having a separate event at the same location at 5:00 p.m. for a wine tasting. An interpreter will be provided. We can have only 15 people to do this event. Please contact us if you are interested in this event. It will cost $55 per person which includes: a guided tasting of 4 wines followed by a walking tour of our cellar spaces/barrel rooms/crush pad, tank tastings (wine straight from the tank) as available, and a 25% discount on any to-go bottles purchased after the tour. We have some palate-cleansing snacks and water during the guided tasting portion too.

HCAD will be hosting its 25th Anniversary Bash on Friday evening, September 20, 2024. Join us as we celebrate a remarkable milestone – 25 years of our organization.

Ticket Price: $75 per person (non-refundable, but transferable).

Your ticket includes the following:

Hors d’oeuvres
A full buffet dinner
Entertainment (DJ Nico DiMarco and 360 photo booth)
Desserts
Non-alcoholic drinks (iced tea, lemonade, and soda cans)
A two-hour open bar from 6 to 8 pm

we ask guests to wear something nice for a significant celebration, such as:

Silent Auction:
HCAD will host a silent auction during the bash to raise money to support Maryland School for the Deaf-Columbia students in attending summer camps and other programs. 100% of the proceeds from the silent auction will go directly towards funding these opportunities for deaf children. Your participation and contributions to the auction will help provide valuable opportunities for these kids.
